Have you tried a Newsletter?

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

If you are trying to market your business, and you don’t have a newsletter, well why don’t you?  A newsletter is a good way to keep your name and your business in your customers mind.  Its also a good way to keep existing customers.  New customers are great, but some studies have shown that it costs 4 or 5 times more to get new customers, than it does to keep existing ones.  Try having coupons or specials from time to time, also get the e-mail addresses of your customers.  A newsletter delivered by e-mail is almost free, a printed newsletter has to be delivered by someone and will cost money or time or both.

While trying to keep marketing costs down, don’t forget that it costs a lot more to get a new customer than it does to keep existing customers. Use e-mail and come up with a once or twice a month newsletter, you could have coupons and specials. The reason for using e-mail is costs. E-mail is almost free, printed material is not, also if you use printed materials, the post office or someone has to deliver them..
