I'm shocked at the number of guys that operate their lawn care business without any insurance.
Why on earth would you even consider doing that? One small accident and you are finished.
Insurance for your lawn care business just isn't that expensive. I'm not a lawyer or accountant so this is just from my
experience but you at least need a general liability policy with about $1,000,000 in coverage. It sounds like a lot but it's
really very affordable from most companies.
Be sure and tell them exactly what you do. For instance if you only mow lawns, it's going to be less than if you are a full service landscape company.
Make sure you tell them what you do, when you do it, areas you cover, etc.
If you don't have the right kind of insurance you might as well not have any.
